Title:
A Kingdom to die for
He roamed in searching silence, stumbling through the ruins of the kingdom of his lonely mind, where once ruled the queen of his heart. He sat with his heavy head declining, beneath the un-answering mid-life sun, sinking deeper into the shadow of his preconceived disintegrating self. Pity escaped down his burning cheeks to betray an inner breaking and stained the cracking flag with regrets. The hollow aching call of her name echoed, from the boundaries of his soul and returned unanswered in an empty shell. He recalled her beautiful image to stab at his cracked eyes, blinding him with desperate thoughts of self destruction. Insanity screamed out and silenced the cry of his conscience in its final judgement. He wandered in his hopeless search under the ravaging farewell sun. Through a desolate landscape designed by her, to remain in ruins with him and last for all time passing, he walked alone contemplating the relief of his final breath.
