A day in my life

Title: Today

Today I went to class as usual. It was hard. I had a headache. The topic was abortion. That would be fine; I know it's a hotbutton issue here in the United States. I accept that. I have my own views on abortion, life, whatever, and normally I just stay quiet unless someone (or some comment) makes me mad.

Today, though, was different. I was called upon by the professor to say what I thought about abortion. I told her I didn't feel comfortable speaking. As the teacher, she stayed neutral and most of the other students were pro-life (or anti-choice, or however you want to put it), or as one guy said,

"But why more than ONE abortion? I mean, that's insulting to me that a woman would talk about 'subsequent procedures'. She's not acting responsibly. Why can't she just keep her legs closed?"

Aside from the neutral professor, I was the only woman in class this morning.

Fuck.
