Title: Lost Mum

Where did you go mum?
You took a short-cut there
A fox trot down Denial Road
(No one lived on there)
to the end of Forgetful Lane
(Well up and down then back again)
You pranced a carefree dance
You sang a sunny tune
You raised a merry glass
And then you left the room.

Where did you go mum?
No smile of recognition now
You can no longer speak
You sit (just), propped up
You shuffle on your feet
Your eyes stare wide open
With a hollow vacant glare
You are no longer here
Where are you mum? Where?
