Title: love at last

he was all she had ever wanted, would never let her down, needed her you see. god you'd never known such a sweet feeling as they lay there, him nuzzled against her breast, her half asleep. there had been others of course. what woman could say she'd never held another, never comforted, never whispered her undying love. but this was it. she'd knelt before him, endured his silly rages, excused his behaviour when her friends had disapproved. and there it was. he was hers and she his. she prepared meals for him and he refused the arms of others. bliss. always glad to see her, never the recriminating questions of where you been and who you seen. this was love. she'd found it at last. as they lay there in the softness of her bed, he looked at her. his face took on a serious aspect. she began to worry. what was it? suddenly he began to cry. she understood. he needed changing.
