Title: The mirrors of the soul

If by chance you meet a person

and look deep into their eyes,

What do you see that’s waiting there,

honesty or lies?

The eyes will tell you stories,

they are the mirrors of the soul,

They can flash fire and doubt,

or they can plead or cajole,

How often have we seen a pretty face

with eyes so tired and sad ?

Or looked into such sparkling eyes,

which makes you feel quite glad,

clothes don’t make a person,

they’re only a disguise,

So if you want to know a person

look into their eyes.
