Listen

I’m stumbling over words today
They’re falling from my mouth
Not saying what I’d like to say
and leaving room for doubt.

I’m stumbling over words today
Because I’m not sure of myself
I want to say so much more
than ‘Good luck and good health’

I’m stumbling over words today
I’m uncertain where they’re heading
It’s odd when your ex-fiancé asks
you to be bridesmaid at his wedding!
