Title: You are my belle

For Lisa

Never thought I was one for blue,

not until you took me to dance
on woodland carpets.

Then blue got me.

Not sure if it was the scent,
delicious by any comparison.
Not sure if it was the setting,
paradise, just off suburbia.
Not sure if it was you,
wild-eyed and so bloody beautiful.

Never thought I was one for blue,

but look at me now.
