Title: Solitary confinement

There were no chinks in the
armour of his self delusion.
'Cut me and I do not bleed'
he would often boast.
'Ignore me and I will revel in
the cloak of my anonimity ;
Reflecting only in passing
all the barren years I have
spent avoiding mirrors,
whilst reaching secretly
for the stars that now call
to me in siren song.'

'Mmm, that's all very well,'
she said, feet tucked,
Idly flicking through
the glossy pages of
Soulmates monthly.
'But who's going to
pay the mortgage
while you're away.'
