There are two ducks in my garden
looking for somewhere to nest.
They'd be better off in the river
but perhaps they think they know best.

A brown rat shins up the tree
and pinches the food for the tits
Not sure whether to be concerned
or to be thrilled to bits.

A tabby cat we've named Patrick
has decided to live here too
It's a bit of a worry, he must have an owner
but perhaps only he knows who.

Maybe there's a message here
they want to find a way
Rednoses aren't just for humans
So let animals join in with our day.
